Cougars Begin Two-Game SoCon Homestand With Western Carolina

After playing four of its last five games of the New Year on the road, the College of Charleston men’s basketball team (12-6, 5-1) hosts a two-game Southern Conference homestand beginning with Western Carolina (8-10, 4-2) on Thursday, Jan. 20 at Carolina First Arena. Tipoff between the Cougars and Catamounts is set for 7 p.m. (ET). CofC is currently tied for first-place in the South Division standings with defending league champion Wofford, while WCU is second in the North Division behind undefeated conference leader Chattanooga. The Cougars look to rebound from a close 91-88 road decision versus the Mocs on Jan. 17 in Chattanooga, Tenn. They will play three games in a span of six days including a home tilt with preseason North Division favorite Appalachian State on Saturday, Jan. 22 at 4 p.m. (ET). CofC currently leads the SoCon in scoring offense (76.0) which ranks No. 40 nationally and in field-goal percentage (47.5) which ranks No. 39 nationally.
