Clemson Video Recap

23 Dec

The Cougars faced their third ACC opponent in Clemson in a sold-out game played before a full house on Dec. 22 at Carolina First Arena. CofC was a mini Staples Center with the likes of Hollywood actor and comedian Bill Murray, who danced the Cotton Eye Joe with Clyde the Cougar at a media timeout in the second half of play, former CofC men’s tennis player and actor Matt Czuchry of The Good Wife and Gilmore Girls fame and former CofC baseball player and current Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim pitcher Michael Kohn in attendance. Thank you to all of the fans and students who came out to support the team prior to the Christmas holiday break!

A day prior to the game, Coach Cremins held his first radio show of the 2010-11 season at Jim ‘N Nick’s on King Street. A good crowd was on hand, including Fox Sports Net play-by-play announcer Ron Thulin and color analyst Dan Bonner, who enjoyed the barbecue and atmosphere. We hope they enjoyed their stay in Charleston and many thanks to Hannah Chapman of Jim ‘N Nick’s for the hospitality!

Despite the close loss to the Tigers, the Cougars are still 8-4 on the season and will look to close out the year on a high note as they travel to No. 18 Tennessee on Dec. 31 in Knoxville, Tenn. The game will be televised nationally on ESPN2. Wishing everyone a happy holiday season 🙂
