Game On. Campaign

Through the combined efforts of CofC Athletics and the CofC Marketing and Communications office on campus, the Game On. Campaign was developed to promote The College’s 20 Division I teams. High impact photography, the kind of imagery you would see in the pages of national magazines, was taken on one Saturday morning in September with student-athletes from each sport by local fashion and beauty photographer Diana Deaver (

If you live in the Charleston area, you may have seen the Game On. signage around town as well as the athletic department’s other marketing initiatives such as Nice Kitty and On The Prowl. If you visit Carolina First Arena, the windows of the new Barnes and Noble Bookstore is wallpapered with photos of sophomore Willis Hall, junior Antwaine Wiggins, senior Donavan Monroe, senior Andrew Goudelock, senior Jeremy Simmons as well as senior volleyball standout Cole Dawley and senior women’s basketball all-conference guard Tonia Gerty.  Thanks to the creative and strategic collaboration of College of Charleston Magazine editor Mark Berry, art director Alfred Hall and CofC Director of Marketing Andrew McGlaughon, the campaign has really come to life.

The coolest part of the campaign was unveiled this past month as trolleys could be seen throughout downtown with billboard ads of senior Jeremy Simmons and the Cougar Basketball team. I literally have been stalking the trolley for the last week to have an opportunity to present it in video format for this blog! During my quest to find the trolley in its route through King, Ann and Calhoun Streets, I filmed freshman Nori Johnson headed home to the dorm for lunch after class 🙂
