Toledo Video Recap

22 Nov

The song to this video recap is from one of my favorite basketball movies of all-time, The 6th Man, starring Marlon Wayans and is fitting of the Cougar Basketball Family. Coach Cremins and his staff do a great job of recruiting not only talented athletes, but great students and people first.

You’ll never see one without the other around campus or around town. It’s such a close-knit group of guys from all different backgrounds and walks of life, but who share a common goal and purpose. On our way back to Charleston from Toledo at the Detroit airport, sophomore Willis Hall joked around that he and junior Antwaine Wiggins were brothers. Basketball brothers, of course 🙂

Our four-day trip to Toledo helped strengthen that bond which has translated into amazing team chemistry on the court this season. Even the freshman class, who saw extended minutes in the second half against the Rockets, received a pep talk from senior Andrew Goudelock during a media timeout in the huddle, of the standard they must uphold once this year’s senior class graduates. Those examples of fellowship and leadership show just how special this year’s team is and the quality of student-athletes we recruit to CofC.
