Illinois-Chicago Video Recap

21 Nov

CofC got back to its winning ways with a 78-66 victory over Illinois-Chicago at the 2K Sports Classic benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer on Saturday night at Savage Arena. The Cougars donned their gold uniforms for only the fifth time in program history to go along with their all-maroon Nike LeBron kicks. They are now a solid 4-1 in gold 🙂

Pregame shootaround is always exciting to watch. Freshman James Carlton, who was crowned the slam dunk champion at Maroon Madness on Oct. 15, and freshman Jordan Scott both slammed down one-handed windmills prior to tipoff – Carlton off a running start and Scott off the bounce. Senior big man Jeremy Simmons, the school’s above-the-rim-record holder, made his 100th career dunk against the Flames and senior Andrew Goudelock moved into third all-time in career scoring with a game-high tying 26 points versus UIC.
